The Food Safety and Standard Authority of India (FSSAI) approves a product through a procedure called FSSAI product approval. For products that contain ingredients and/or additives that do not meet the Food Safety and Standards Act and Regulations' prescribed standards, FSSAI product approval is required. FSSAI product approval is provided by the Central Government, and in this article, we'll look at how it works.
The FSSAI product approval process was previously manual, requiring the submission of an FSSAI product approval application along with a Demand Draft for the specified fee to the FSSAI office in New Delhi. FSSAI has recently launched the Food Product Approval System to deal with the rise in FSSAI product approval applications and add clarity to the system (FPAS).
The following information about the company and product is needed to submit an FSSAI licence product approval application:
Country of Origin
Existence in the Market
Method of Manufacturing
Claim, if any?
Shelf Life of the Product
The FSSAI license online approval application must also contain the following documents in addition to the above information.
The food product's label.
Datasheet for accelerated stability.
Datasheet on real-time stability.
Form-9 Process for obtaining FSSAI Product Approval and End-Use Declaration Document Certificate of Analysis from NABL Lab Undertaking.
For our valued customers, the method is made flexible by our expert professionals with specialised knowledge of the food safety registration system. The FSSAI Registration Team will treat our employees with respect, making the process go smoothly.
